About this grant / loan
General Description
Higher level education students who are also parents may be in need of non-traditional funding. Support with their child or children can be obtained through applying for and being granted the Parent’s Learning Allowance.
Requirements
In order to be eligible for the Parent’s Learning allowance, the student needs to be a parent who is in need of funding to assist with tending to their child. This funding can be obtained to cover costs related to the child and may include informal childcare i.e. assistance with the child provided by a member of the family or friends.
