Atlantic Technological University - ATU Entrance Scholarship Awards

ATU Entrance Scholarship Awards

You get a one-off 500 EUR bursary plus a custom-made trophy. It rewards a top result in your Leaving Certificate, the final exam of Irish secondary school. This is a prize, not a monthly grant: you receive it once. Atlantic Technological University (ATU) in Ireland gives it to its highest-scoring new students across all nine ATU campuses, including Sligo, Letterkenny, Galway and Mayo.

Who can apply

• Study phase: You are a first-year undergraduate student at ATU.
• Grades: You scored over 550 and up to 625 CAO points in your Leaving Certificate. CAO points are the Irish system that turns your exam results into one total.
• Field of study: Any subject, from business and engineering to computer science and biopharmaceutical science.
• Financial need: None required. The award is based purely on your results.

How to apply

There is no separate application. ATU picks the top-scoring new students from their CAO points during the first semester. The university honours them at award ceremonies held each January in Sligo, Letterkenny and Galway.
