About this award / prize

The John Kelly Prize in Clinical Surgery

You will receive a one-off prize of about 600 EUR, which is awarded to the best medical student in the subject of Clinical Surgery. The exact amount may vary slightly from year to year, as it is funded by the annual returns from an investment fund. The prize is awarded by University College Cork (UCC). It was established by friends and former students of John Kelly, a former lecturer in surgery at the university.

  • University: You are studying medicine at University College Cork and were enrolled there for the three years immediately prior to your final exams.
