About this scholarship

ISE Trust Scholarships at Trinity College Dublin

You receive a one-off award of 2,000 EUR towards a one-year master's (M.Phil.) at the Irish School of Ecumenics, part of Trinity College Dublin. If you join a doctorate (Ph.D. or M.Litt.) instead, the award is 3,000 EUR. The money is a top-up. It covers part of your fees and living costs, not the full bill. The awards are paid by the ISE Trust, which funds student life and reconciliation work at the school.

Who can apply

  • Programme: With this prize, worth 2,000 EUR, you can enrol on one of the following Master’s programmes: International Peace Studies, Contextual Theologies and Interfaith Relations, Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation, or Theology and Social Justice. The 3,000-EUR prize is aimed at PhD students conducting research on topics relating to peace and conflict or interfaith relations.
  • Enrolment: You study full time.
  • Offer: You have been offered and have accepted a firm, unconditional place on this degree programme.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, whether they are from Ireland, the EU or any other country.
  • Grades: The awards are granted on the basis of academic achievement; therefore, good results are an advantage.

How to apply

There is no separate application form. If you accept a firm offer by 24 July, you will automatically be considered. The school will then select the successful candidates on the basis of their academic achievements.
