About this award / prize
The Mary V. Hart Memorial Prize in Music
You receive a one-off cash prize of around 100 EUR plus a certificate with your name on it. The exact amount varies slightly from year to year, because it comes from the yearly income of an invested fund. The prize goes once to the top student in the final music degree exam at University College Cork (UCC) in Ireland. The three sons of Mary Veronica Hart, all UCC graduates, set it up in 1978 in memory of their mother and her love of music.
