About this scholarship

What you get

You will spend a semester or a full academic year at University College Cork (UCC) on the south coast of Ireland. The majority of your costs will be covered. UCC will waive your tuition and academic fees for 12 to 15 credits per semester, provide you with free on-campus accommodation and pay you a meal allowance. The University of Maine will also provide you with a flat-rate travel allowance of 1,000 USD (about 920 EUR) for your journey. The exchange takes place between Maine and Ireland. It is organised in honour of the Northern Ireland Peace Agreement, which was signed on Good Friday, 10 April 1998. You will continue to bear the costs of meals exceeding the meal allowance, your textbooks, any additional travel, health insurance, your Irish residence permit and personal expenses.
