About this scholarship
What the MBA scholarship gives you
You will receive up to 20,000 EUR. This will cover up to 50% of the tuition fees, amounting to 40,000 EUR, for the full-time MBA at Luiss Business School in Rome. The programme lasts 12 months and begins in October. Luiss Business School awards up to 20 of these partial scholarships, which are divided into four categories: merit-based scholarships, scholarships for women in business, scholarships for applicants with a STEM background, and scholarships for international (non-Italian) applicants. You will be responsible for all other costs, including accommodation, meals, travel expenses and personal expenses.
Who can apply
- Degree: You hold a first university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) which qualifies you to undertake a full-time MBA programme.
- Work experience: You have at least three years’ relevant professional experience.
- English: You have a very good command of English at level C1, for example, an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher, or a TOEFL iBT score of 100 or higher.
- Admission: You have already been admitted to the MBA programme as part of the admissions process.
- Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. The following applies to the international group: applicants must not be Italian nationals.
- Field of study: Any educational background is suitable. A STEM background (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) qualifies you for the separate STEM group.
How to apply
First, you apply for the MBA and go through the admissions process. This includes an admissions test (English test, logic test and personal interview) as well as an application fee. To be considered for a scholarship, you must submit a personal statement and specify which of the four groups you are applying for. You must have completed all these steps by 10 September.
How realistic are your chances?
Places are limited to around 20 across four groups, and as the competition is restricted to applicants who have already been admitted to a prestigious MBA programme, the field is highly competitive. Being divided into four groups works to your advantage: If you clearly fit into a particular group – for example, as a non-Italian applicant or someone with a STEM background – you will be competing against a smaller group of applicants. High test scores, solid professional experience and a compelling personal statement are the factors that set applicants apart from the rest.
