About this grant / loan
What you get
You will earn 10 EUR per hour for up to 150 hours per academic year, i.e. a total of up to 1,500 euros. This is a part-time student job at the University of Bari (UniBA) in southern Italy. You will support fellow students who have a disability or a certified learning difficulty such as dyslexia (DSA). For example, you will accompany them to lectures or help them with their coursework. The position is managed by the university’s Office for Disability and DSA and is a paid tutoring role, not a scholarship.
Who can apply
- University: You are enrolled at the University of Bari, at one of its campuses in Bari, Taranto or Brindisi.
- Study phase: You are past your first year of a bachelor's programme.
- Grades and credits: The more examination results you have already achieved and the more impressive your references are, the better you will perform – so a solid academic record is an advantage.
- Financial situation: Where two applicants have the same number of points, priority is given to the one with the greater financial need.
- Field of study: All subjects can apply.
- Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying at the University of Bari.
How to apply
Applications are submitted via the Office for Disability Issues and DSA at the University of Bari, which publishes the call for applications each academic year. The Office draws up a ranking list of applicants based on the credits they have earned and their references.
How realistic are your chances?
This position is restricted to students in their final years at a specific university who wish to support fellow students with disabilities; consequently, the pool of applicants is smaller than for open scholarships. Selection is made via a ranking list based on credit points, so good academic performance will improve your position on the list. If you are already well advanced in your studies in Bari and apply by the deadline, your chances are good.
