About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive up to 750 EUR towards your travel expenses and up to 500 EUR per month towards your accommodation and living costs. This covers a study or research stay of approximately 3 months at the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) in Hyderabad, India. You can also earn academic credits (CFU) for the work you carry out there. The scholarship is awarded by the University of Florence (UNIFI) through its Department of Architecture as part of a cooperation agreement with JNAFAU, which focuses on green architecture and urban planning.

Who can apply

  • Degree: You are enrolled on the two-year Master’s degree programme in Architecture (Laurea Magistrale in Architettura) at the University of Florence.
  • Grades: You have achieved good results in the architecture-related technical subjects.
  • English: You have a good command of English, as evidenced by a certificate from a non-university institution.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply, provided they are enrolled on one of the eligible UNIFI degree programmes.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the call for applications issued by the Department of Architecture at the University of Florence. The deadline for applications is 4 October.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant is open only to postgraduate Architecture students at the University of Florence who can show good English and strong results in architecture technology subjects. That keeps the eligible group small and the competition limited. If you clearly meet those conditions and apply by the deadline, your prospects are good.
