About this award / prize

Prizes for deserving science students at Tor Vergata

You will receive a one-off prize of 500 EUR, awarded by the University of Rome Tor Vergata in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. The university awards 14 of these prizes across its degree programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. This is a merit-based award in addition to your degree programme; it is not a monthly scholarship.

Who can apply

  • University: You are enrolled at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
  • Field of study: You are studying mathematics, physics, biology or chemistry.
  • Study phase: You are a Bachelor’s or Master’s student. First-year students are not eligible to apply.
  • Grades: You have strong results, measured by the credits you have earned and your grade average.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the University of Rome Tor Vergata. The application deadline is 22 May.

How realistic are your chances?

The eligibility criteria for this prize are quite strict: applicants must already be studying one of four science subjects at this very university and have completed their first year of study, meaning that the pool of eligible candidates is small. As 14 prizes are to be awarded, a student with outstanding academic performance and a good grade point average stands a good chance. Selection is based on measurable results, so evidence of passed examinations is of the utmost importance.
