About this scholarship

Scholarships "Famiglia Legnanese - Italy project"

You receive a one-off award of 2,000 EUR if you study a master's programme in Economics or Management Engineering at LIUC - Università Cattaneo in Castellanza, Italy. The money comes from the Fondazione Famiglia Legnanese, a foundation in Legnano that has supported students for decades. The number of awards is set each year. In recent years around 5 went to LIUC students. You cannot combine this scholarship with any other scholarship or study grant in the same academic year.

Who can apply

  • University: You are studying at LIUC – Università Cattaneo in Castellanza.
  • Field of study: You are in the master's programme (laurea magistrale) in Economics or Management Engineering.
  • Study year: You are in the 1st or 2nd year of the master's and already hold a bachelor's degree. For single-cycle degrees (such as five-year law), you are at least in the 4th year.
  • Grades (1st year): You will complete your LIUC Bachelor’s degree by 21 October 2026 with a final mark and a grade point average of at least 27/30.
  • Grades (2nd year): Your final mark in your Italian Bachelor’s degree programme must be at least 100/110. You have passed all the examinations in the first year of your Master’s degree by 15 October 2026 with a weighted average of at least 27/30.
  • No delays: You are on track with your degree (not ‘fuori corso’, i.e. behind schedule) and have never taken a break from your studies.
  • Financial situation: You must submit a valid ISEE certificate, the official Italian document showing your household’s income and assets.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

You can download the application form from the LIUC website or the Foundation’s website. You must submit it, together with your academic transcript and your ISEE certificate, to the LIUC Student Services Office (Servizio Diritto allo Studio) or send it by email. The deadline for LIUC students is 23 October 2026. A selection panel will then draw up a ranking list of applicants based on their grades, income and chosen degree programme; its decision is final.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is awarded on a highly selective basis. Only LIUC Master’s students studying Economics or Industrial Engineering with very good grades (at least 27/30) and a verified income status are eligible, meaning that the pool of eligible candidates is small. If you clearly meet the grade requirements and submit a complete ISEE form in good time, your chances are good, particularly as several scholarships are awarded to LIUC students every year.
