University of Birmingham - Bronze Sports Scholarship

Benefit

You will receive 350 EUR per month for up to 36 months to study at University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom whilst training as an athlete. In addition to the financial support, the Bronze level offers practical sporting support: free use of the university’s sports facilities, strength and conditioning training, sports medicine and sports science support, workshops and a mentor (an experienced person who will advise you). This is the entry-level tier of the three-tier scholarship scheme (Gold, Silver, Bronze) administered by University of Birmingham Sport.

Eligibility

• Sport level: You are competing as a national or international athlete.
• University: You are studying at the University of Birmingham or have been offered a place to start your studies there.
• Field of study: Any topic is fine.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Please apply via ‘University of Birmingham Sport’. The application deadline is 15.06. A selection panel will assess your sporting achievements and your level of competition.

How realistic are your chances?

This is the entry-level of the three levels and is therefore the most accessible of the three. However, you must take part in competitions at national or international level, which means the pool of applicants remains small. If you meet this requirement and are studying in Birmingham, your chances are quite good.
