About this scholarship
General Description
The funded PhD studentship in Caribbean studies covers tuition fees at the home/EU level, as well as a stipend of 13,863 Pound Sterling. It lasts for 3.5 years, full-time. The successful candidate will be based at the Yesu Persaud Centre for Caribbean Studies (YPCCS). The research may be relating to any aspect of Caribbean history, societies, culture, or literature of the Caribbean.
Requirements
This studentship is open to students of all nationalities, although international students will have to cover the difference between home/EU tuition fees and international fees themselves. In addition, applicants should be holders of a relevant and valid first degree (at least 2:1 or equivalent). A relevant Masters degree, completed or close to completion, is also expected in an area relevant to the proposed area of doctoral research.
