About this award / prize

SADUS sports merit grant of the University of Seville

You get a one-off payment of 1,000 EUR for the 2025/2026 academic year, paid in two halves: 50% by the end of the first quarter of 2026 and the rest by the end of the third quarter. The Servicio de Actividades Deportivas (SADUS), the sports service of the University of Seville, awards up to 72 of these grants each year. It rewards students who achieved strong results in university sport the previous year and want to keep competing for the university's teams.

Who can apply

  • University: You are enrolled in an official degree at the University of Seville in 2025/2026.
  • Level: Bachelor, Master and doctoral students can all apply.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects.
  • Sporting record: You took part in regional, national or European (EUSA) university competitions in 2024/2025 and can prove it with a sports CV.
  • Commitment: If funded, you train and travel with the university teams to Andalusian, Spanish and world (FISU) university championships from November 2025 to 31 July 2026.
  • No double funding: You cannot hold another public regional or national sports grant, or a SADUS promotion sports grant, at the same time.

How to apply

You apply online through the Spanish public register (reg.redsara.es) using an FNMT digital certificate, or in person at the university's registry office by appointment. The application window runs from 24 September to 7 October 2025. A university grants committee scores your sports CV (up to 8 points) and other merits (up to 2 points). Results are published within three months.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant is aimed at a narrow group: you must study at the University of Seville and prove a record in university-level competition, so the field is limited to serious student athletes. With up to 72 grants available, your prospects are good if you can show strong results. You need more than 0.5 points to be considered, so a well-evidenced sports CV is what decides it.
