CEU enrolment discount for large families

You will be issued with a 30% or 60% discount on your yearly tuition fees at the Cardenal Herrera University (UCH CEU) in Valencia, Spain. You will retain it for as long as your family holds a valid large family card. The amount depends on your official category: 30% for the general category (régimen general) and 60% for the special category (régimen especial). The status of ‘large family’ (familia numerosa) is recognised under Spanish law and generally applies to families with three or more children. The discount is granted by the Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU, which runs the university. It applies automatically every year for as long as your card is valid.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled at Cardenal Herrera University (UCH CEU) at one of its campuses in Valencia, Castellón or Elche.
• Family status: You are a member of a large Spanish family (familia numerosa) and hold a valid large family card or family register (carnet o libro de familia numerosa).
• Discount level: Your official category (general or specialised) determines whether you receive 30% or 60%.
• Field of study: Any degree programme is acceptable.
• Nationality: Spanish nationals and foreign nationals living in Spain may submit an application, provided they hold a recognised certificate for large families.

How to apply

You do not need to complete a formal application form. You simply need to submit proof of your status as a large family by 30 October each year. First-year students should upload their family card or family register via the intranet when they enrol. Students who are already enrolled should email the proof to the scholarship office on their campus.

How realistic are your chances?

This is an automatic discount, not a competition. There is no selection panel and no limit on the number of students who can receive this discount. If you are studying at UCH CEU and hold a valid multiple-child card, you are eligible for it. The only reason you might be denied the discount is if you miss the deadline of 30 October for submitting your proof of eligibility.
