About this scholarship
General Description
The European Union, through the Erasmus Mundus programme, offers scholarships to graduate students who would like to complete a jointly supervised PhD degree in Europe in the field of animal breeding and genetics. The programme is of a duration of four years and should be completed in two partner institutions. Each eligible candidate will also have to do a six-month placement in an organisation related to food production. All successful applicants will receive a monthly gross salary of 2,800 euros, a monthly allowance of 600 euros, and a one-time travel and installation allowance of 3,000 to 7,500 euros.
Requirements
Only applicants not from one of the 28 EU countries, and Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switerland, Turkey, and ARYM are eligible. Proficiency in English is required.
