Radboud University Short Stay Grant

You get part of your costs back for a short study trip abroad, such as a summer school, winter school or short course. You receive up to 375 EUR per week for a stay in Europe and up to 500 EUR per week for a stay outside Europe. The amount depends on how many days you take part. The trip can be funded for up to 2 weeks, so the most you can get is 1,000 EUR. If you ask, 75% is paid before you leave and the rest after you return and hand in your documents. The money comes partly from Radboud University's Profiling Fund and partly from your own faculty.

Who can apply

• University and faculty: You are a full-time student at Radboud University in one of four faculties: Arts, Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies, the Nijmegen School of Management, or Science.
• Where you go: Your trip is abroad. Any country counts, inside or outside the EU/EEA.
• Length: Your stay lasts at least 5 days in a row.
• Credits: You earn study credits (ECTS) for the trip.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• One-time only: You have not received a Short Stay Grant before.
• Timing: You apply more than 2 weeks before you leave.

How to apply

Start your study-abroad application in your Osiris student account. After your faculty's International Office approves it, you get an email with a link to an online grant form. Submit your full application at least 2 weeks before you leave. Applications are handled in the order they arrive.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant is only for students in four Radboud faculties, so the pool is limited to people already at the university with a short trip planned. Numbers are small: the Faculty of Arts, for example, gives just 15 grants a year, in order of arrival. If you meet the conditions and apply as early as possible, your chances are good.
