About this scholarship
General Description
Every year, Middlesex University offers the Arthur Silver Award, worth £1000, to Art and Design students approaching completion of their degree.
Requirements
This award is open to undergraduate full-time students of Art and Design at Middlesex University who have reached the final year of their degrees. Students are invited to use MoDA’s collections for research and inspiration in the development of any piece of studio work under the guidance of their tutors. (The work should be submitted for assessment in the normal way). Application for the award is by submission of three A3 sheets which clearly demonstrate: the design brief or initial conception of the project; the development of the project; details of the final piece of work. Applications should demonstrate how the final piece was inspired by/developed from something in the museum’s collections and should show critical reflection on the research process. Students will be nominated by academic staff.
