University College Cork - Leaving Certificate Excellence Awards

General Description

The College of Business and Law at University College Cork offers 25 Leaving Certificate Excellence Awards to students each year. They are worth €1,000 each and are for students entering a full time primary degree program. The award is judged on the six best subjects taken at the first attempt at the same sitting of the Leaving Certificate. The standard UCC scoring system is used. The scholarships are paid in two installments during the academic year.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the normal entry requirements for University College Cork and their degree program. This must occur in the session following the Leaving Certificate Examination on which the score is received from. Applicants must also be enrolled full time in a primary degree program. To be eligible students must score above 500 points on the Leaving Certificate Examination.
