Engineering without Borders Florence - International Tattarillo Award

General Description

The Tattarillo Award is an international BA, MS, and PhD Thesis award organized by EWB Florence in cooperation with the "Environmental Councilor of the Municipality of Florence" on the themes of appropriate technology and "South of the World". The main objective of the Tattarillo Award is to encourage technology students and the scientific community to research themes related to appropriate technologies in any "South-of-the-World" contexts, the realities where a group of individuals have no access to resources for their own realization within the social context of belonging. The Tattarillo Awards will assign 2 prizes of 1000 euro each.

Requirements

The jury will chose the best three theses evaluating, among others: their scientific value, the respect of local traditions, the inclusion of local people the decision processes, their multidisciplinary approach and the sustainability of the proposed solutions.
