About this scholarship
What EMP-AIM offered
EMP-AIM paid a monthly living allowance to students, researchers and university staff undertaking a placement at a partner university abroad. The amount depended on the respective level of study or research: 1,500 EUR per month for PhD students, 1,000 EUR for Bachelor’s and Master’s students, 1,800 EUR for postdoctoral researchers and 2,500 EUR for staff. Stays lasted one month for staff and, for students at higher levels of study, up to a full academic year (12 months). In addition to the allowance, tuition fees or participation fees (where applicable), travel expenses and health, accident and travel insurance were covered. The European Commission funded the programme as part of the Erasmus Mundus initiative 2. Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania coordinated the programme and brought together 17 higher education institutions across Europe, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova.
