What Bakken's Foundation Abroad gives you

You will receive a grant of a variable amount as a grant towards a school or study trip abroad, or another type of trip or activity. The foundation determines the amount of the grant on a case-by-case basis, so there is no fixed amount. It is a small Danish foundation for young people from North Jutland. It supports trips and activities that introduce children and young people from the region to Christian values, but you do not need to share these values to be eligible to apply.

Who can apply

• Where you live: They live in the North Jutland region of Denmark.
• Age: You are under 25.
• What it funds: A study or school placement abroad, a training course, a project or a social activity.
• Field of study: Any subject. No specific course is required.
• Who applies: You are applying for this on your own behalf as a private individual.

How to apply

The call for applications for the scholarship will be published in October, and the deadline for applications is 1 October. You can obtain the application form from the chair of the foundation. If you have not received a reply by 15 November, your application has not been successful.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant scheme is very narrowly defined. You must live in North Jutland, be under 25 years of age, and intend to use the money for a stay abroad or a similar activity. This keeps the pool of eligible applicants small, meaning that a suitable candidate from the region faces very little competition.
