Margrethe and Georg Bidstrup Travel and Study Scholarship

You will receive about 805 EUR per year (6,000 Danish kroner) towards your further education. You can use this money to fund study trips abroad or courses at schools and similar institutions in Denmark or another country. The funds come from a Danish foundation established by Margrethe and Georg Bidstrup to help members of their family pursue further education.

Who can apply

• Family link: You are an adult descendant of the founders, Margrethe and Georg Bidstrup. You must provide evidence of this family connection in your application.
• Residence: You live in Denmark.
• What you use it for: Further training initiatives, such as study visits abroad or courses.
• Field of study: Any topic is fine.

How to apply

Applications should be sent by email to the foundation, stating the name of the scholarship in the subject line. Please enclose proof that you are a descendant of the founders. Applications are accepted at any time. The application deadline for the current round is 31 December.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is intended exclusively for adult descendants of the two founders who live in Denmark; consequently, the number of eligible candidates is very small. If you can prove that you belong to this family and live in Denmark, you will face virtually no competition and your chances are very good. This award is not available to anyone else.
