Benefit

You will receive a sum of one-off payment of about 10,200 DKK (around 1,340 EUR). This is a one-off payment, not a monthly grant. You may use the money to cover your living costs or for study-related travel. In the year 2023, 22 people each received 10,200 DKK. The money comes from an independent Danish foundation which supports students in financial need at three Danish universities.

Eligibility

• University: You are studying at the University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) or the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
• Who it is for: You are a woman student. A separate share of the money goes to single women in financial hardship.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Financial need: You can prove that you need financial support.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are enrolled at one of the three institutions.
• Grades: Good grades are not a prerequisite, but hard-working students who perform well in their first few semesters will be given preference.

How to apply

At the University of Copenhagen, you apply via the university’s own scholarship system and specify this fund on the first page. At DTU, you apply via the ‘Beyond Borders’ portal; the same form also applies to the associated ‘Frøken Marie Månsson’s Scholarship’. The DTU application deadline is expected to be in June. The deadlines for the other institutions have not yet been published.
