About this scholarship
General Description
Students in selected engineering and computing courses at the University of Ulster can apply for an Asidua Scholarship. It is funded by Asidua, a software company based in Belfast. It describes the scholarship as being worth £25,000. This is made up of a grant of £1,000 for each academic year of the student's course. The student also gets eight weeks of paid summer work during each year. In addition they get a paid placement in their third year. They can also continue working part-time once the placement is finished and while they are still completing their studies.
Requirements
Any student enrolled on one of the nine qualifying courses can apply. The courses are BEng/MEng Electronic Engineering, BEng Software Engineering, BSc Honours Computer Science, BEng Honours Computing and Engineering, BSc Computing Science, BSc Computing, BEng Electronics and Computer Systems, BEng/BEng Hons Electronics & Software, and BEng Computer Games Development.
