UWE Bristol scholarship for Caribbean and Latin America

You get a tuition fee discount of about 5,850 EUR (£5,000) off your first year at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) in the UK. This is a one-off cut to your first-year tuition bill. It is not a monthly payment and does not repeat in later years. If you take the scholarship, you agree to act as an ambassador for the university during your studies, for example by helping promote it to students from your country.

Who can apply

• Where you are from: You come from a country in Latin America or the Caribbean.
• Offer of a place: You already hold an offer from UWE Bristol for one of its courses. A conditional or unconditional offer both count.
• Level of study: You can be an undergraduate or postgraduate applicant.
• Field of study: Any subject is fine.

How to apply

You send a short video answering three questions: why you applied to UWE Bristol, what you look forward to most, and how the university could attract more students from your country. Start the video with your name, home country and UWE Welcome ID, then send it via WeTransfer to the Americas team. Apply by 31 May for a September start or by 31 October for a January start. You hear back after the deadline.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is aimed at one region and only reaches students who already have an offer from UWE Bristol, so the pool is smaller than for open scholarships. The application is light: a single short video, which lowers the effort. If you fit the region, hold your offer and put real thought into the video, your prospects are good.
