About this scholarship

ER.GO study grant at the University of Parma

You get a yearly cash grant of about 1,445 EUR to 7,171 EUR. The amount depends on your family's income and where you live during your studies. Students who move away from home to study get the most, commuters get less, and those living at home get the least. On top of the money you pay no university fees and get your regional study tax refunded. The grant rises by 15% if your household income (ISEE) is 12,500 EUR or below, and by 20% for women in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, maths). If you study one extra semester beyond the standard length of your degree, the grant is halved. ISEE is Italy's official measure of a family's income and assets. This is the regional right-to-study grant of Emilia-Romagna, run by ER.GO together with the University of Parma.

Who can apply

  • Where you study: You are enrolled at the University of Parma or another university in Emilia-Romagna. Bachelor, master, doctoral and specialisation programmes all count.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply, including international students. International students may need to provide different income documents.
  • Financial need: Your family's income and assets (ISEE and ISPE) must be below the limits set each year. For 2026/2027 the ISEE limit is 25,000 EUR. You need the specific ISEE for university right-to-study benefits, not a standard one.
  • Study progress: First-year students qualify on income alone. From the second year on you must also have earned a minimum number of course credits (CFU), counted on 10 August of the application year. This is based on the year you first enrolled anywhere.
  • Enrolment: You complete your enrolment within the deadlines set in the annual call.

How to apply

You apply online each year through your Dossier Utente account on the ER.GO platform. You can apply before you have enrolled. For 2026/2027 the window runs from 23 June to 24 August 2026 at 16:00. The deadline cannot be extended. Ranking lists are published afterwards.

How realistic are your chances?

This is a needs-based grant, not a contest over grades. If your family income is under the limit and you keep up the required credits, your prospects are good. It is open to every field and nationality across the region's universities, so many students apply. Places follow clear income and credit thresholds, not a fixed small number of winners. Get your right-to-study ISEE ready in time and apply within the window, because late applications are not accepted.
