UniLaSalle Amiens merit scholarship (Bourse au mérite)

You get 20% to 100% of your tuition fees waived in your first two years at UniLaSalle Amiens, a private engineering school in Amiens. How much you save depends on your final school-leaving grade. For reference, tuition in 2026/27 is 6,020 EUR a year for the pre-engineering cycle, 8,020 EUR for a Bachelor and 9,020 EUR for the engineering cycle. If you passed your Bac (the French school-leaving exam) with the top grade "Très Bien" and hold a high-level state grant, you pay nothing for the first two years. With grade "Bien" you get 40% off, and with "Assez Bien" 20%. Veterinary students have their own scale: the eight highest-ranked get 75% across all three years. The award comes from the Fondation Jean-Baptiste Gagne, which paid out over 606,000 EUR to more than 600 students in 2024/25.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled at UniLaSalle Amiens in an engineering or Bachelor programme.
• Study year: You are a first-time entrant starting in the 1st or 2nd year.
• State grant: You already hold a French CROUS grant, a state grant based on your family's income.
• Grades: You have at least grade "Assez Bien" in your Bac, or an equivalent international result, or a yearly average of 12 or more. Higher grades mean a bigger waiver.
• Nationality: Because the CROUS grant is a condition, you are French, an EU national or a resident who meets the CROUS residence rules.
• Commitment: You do 20 hours of service for the school, on top of the 20 hours of community engagement all students do.

How to apply

You apply during your online enrolment at UniLaSalle Amiens, and the waiver is deducted directly from your tuition fees. You must first hold a CROUS grant, whose application runs from 1 March to 31 May.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut narrowly. You must be starting at UniLaSalle Amiens and already hold a state CROUS grant, so the eligible group is limited to income-qualifying newcomers. If you fit that and have solid Bac grades, your prospects are good. The school funds every qualifying student on a fixed scale rather than ranking a large open pool. The higher your grade and grant level, the larger the waiver.
