CLIP Scholarships at Utrecht University

You receive full tuition (2,694 EUR per year) plus a living allowance of 13,750 EUR per year, for up to 24 months. That covers the full length of a two-year master's programme at the Faculty of Geosciences at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Up to 5 of these scholarships are awarded each year. They are funded by the CML Foundation together with the Utrecht University Fund, to help Greek students work on solutions to environmental problems.

Who can apply

• Nationality or residence: You hold a Greek passport or have Greek residence.
• Your bachelor's: You completed your undergraduate studies in Greece.
• Where you study: You have applied for a master's programme at the Faculty of Geosciences at Utrecht University. Any of its master's programmes counts, for example Earth Surface and Water, Urban and Economic Geography, Sustainable Business and Innovation, or Innovation Sciences.
• Timing: You start your master's on 1 September 2026.
• Grades: You have good results from your previous studies.
• Motivation: You want to work on sustainable solutions to environmental problems, especially ones connected to Greece.

How to apply

First apply for a master's programme at the Faculty of Geosciences. Then fill in the online scholarship form, answering three short questions, by 5 July 2026. Selection starts after the deadline and may include an online interview. Results are announced by early August 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut very narrowly. It is only for Greek students who did their bachelor's in Greece and are heading to one specific faculty at Utrecht, so few people compete for the up to 5 places. If you clearly meet those conditions and can show both strong results and a genuine drive to tackle environmental problems, your prospects are good. A concrete link to environmental work in Greece is what sets applicants apart.
