Entrepreneurial Spirit Scholarship

You get your full yearly tuition covered, 2,694 EUR per year (the statutory tuition fee for 2026-2027), plus up to 700 EUR per year for books. This runs for the full three years of the Bachelor in International Business Administration (IBA). You also get personal, academic and career mentoring (one-to-one guidance) from the alumni who fund the scholarship, plus access to their international network. Two IBA graduates of the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University Rotterdam, set up the scholarship for students who could not fully take part because of money worries. Funding for years 2 and 3 depends on a review at the end of each year.

Who can apply

• Study phase: You apply before you start. You have not yet begun the IBA Bachelor.
• Programme: You are applying for the Bachelor in International Business Administration (IBA) at RSM, Erasmus University Rotterdam.
• Admission: You meet all the normal entry requirements for the IBA Bachelor.
• Nationality: You are from the EU or EEA (European Economic Area) and so pay the lower statutory tuition fee.
• Financial need: You can show that you need financial support to study.
• Entrepreneurial spirit: You can show a genuine entrepreneurial drive, backed by your own experience and plans.
• Commitment: You are willing to act as an ambassador for the scholarship and RSM, take coaching, and later mentor future scholarship holders after you graduate.

How to apply

First register for the IBA Bachelor through the Studielink portal. You then receive a link to the online application form, where you select this scholarship. You submit a short essay on your entrepreneurial background and plans (max 850 words) and a financial assessment form. Applications run from 1 October 2025 to 31 January 2026, and the RSM committee decides by 15 May 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut narrowly. It is only for EU/EEA students entering one specific Bachelor at RSM who can show both financial need and a real entrepreneurial track record. That combination keeps the applicant pool small. If you clearly fit all three and write a convincing essay, your prospects are good, especially if you apply well before the January deadline.
