About this scholarship
Schilizzi Foundation Scholarship at UEA
You will receive about 5,800 EUR per year (£5,000) for three years, totalling approximately 17,400 EUR (£15,000). This funding will cover your tuition fees and living costs whilst you are studying for your Bachelor’s degree at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, England. Two of these scholarships are awarded each year. The foundation was established in memory of Helena Venisélos (née Schilizzi) and her husband Elefthérios Venisélos, a former Greek Prime Minister, to support Greek students in the UK.
Who can apply
- Background: You are a Greek national or have Greek roots or ancestors.
- Where you live: You live in Greece or the United Kingdom.
- Degree level: You are applying for a Bachelor’s degree programme (your first university degree) at the UEA.
- First choice: The UEA is your first-choice university, and you have already been offered a place.
- Field of study: Any degree programme at the UEA is an option, from law and medicine to business, the natural sciences and the humanities.
- Fee status: Both students paying UK tuition fees and those paying international tuition fees are eligible to apply.
- No other funding: You may not receive any other scholarship or grant at the same time.
How to apply
Please complete the online application form as soon as you have received your offer from the UEA. The application deadline is Monday, 3 May 2027, for a course starting in September 2027.
How realistic are your chances?
The award of this scholarship is highly selective: you must have Greek roots, list the UEA as your first choice and have been offered a place there. Only two places are awarded each year, so even those who meet the criteria face stiff competition. If you clearly meet the requirements regarding Greek heritage and listing UEA as your first choice, and apply in good time before the deadline in May, your chances are good.
