About this scholarship
General Description
Every year, the Durham University offers two St. Nicholas Scholarships to students in financial need. Successful recipients will each receive £2500 per academic year for the duration of their course.
Requirements
St. Nicholas Scholarships are open to prospective first year students of Durham University who come from a low-income background and have regularly attended a full time educational course since the age of 16 up to the date of application. Candidates will need to provide a personal statement, a copy of their Student Finance England entitlement letter, and a reference letter. Applicants must reside in one of the 26 administrative wards of Newcastle City Council.
