What you get

You receive a one-off grant for your education, or help with care if you are ill and in need. The fund does not publish a fixed amount for the Kattrup Manor grant. As a guide, its sister fund at Lystrup Manor, set up in the same 1845 foundation with the same purpose, pays between 5,000 DKK (about 670 EUR) and 50,000 DKK (about 6,700 EUR) per person. The grant is taxable and reported to the Danish tax authorities. A lawyer administers it for the Kattrup Manor fund in Denmark.

Who can apply

• Local connection: You live in, or have another link to, one of four parishes near Kattrup Manor: Buerup, Reerslev, Skellebjerg or Kirke Helsinge. This is the key filter.
• Your situation: You are studying, or you are a child or young person in need, or you are ill and need extra care.
• Field of study: All fields can apply. Agriculture and the green or environmental sector are preferred.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply. Your link to the parish decides, not where you are from.
• Grades and need: Your results and your financial situation are both taken into account.

How to apply

Send a written application. State what the money is for, who you are, your address and the amount you are asking for. If the grant would cover several items, add a budget or price quotes. The deadline is 31 October.
