What you get

You will receive a one-off grant to support your artistic work in the field of music or the visual arts, including painting and photography. The amount of the grant is not made public; you will only be informed of the sum once you have applied. The funding comes from a private Danish foundation established by Theodor Alfred Christian von Irgens-Bergh and his wife Gisela von Irgens-Bergh, née Frankl. It supports practising artists and assists older artists facing financial difficulties.

Who can apply

• Your art: You work in the field of music or the visual arts, which in this context refers to painting and photography.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Financial need: Not essential, but will be viewed favourably. Older artists experiencing financial difficulties are warmly encouraged to apply.
• Affiliation: You do not need to be affiliated with any particular school, institution or organisation.

The deadline is 1 March. The foundation does not publish a fixed application procedure, so contact its administrator directly before you prepare anything.
