About this scholarship
Gartnernes Hjælpefond travel grant
You will receive a one-off travel allowance of around 2,000 DKK (about 270 EUR) to help cover your travel costs whilst you are training in horticulture or garden maintenance. This is a one-off payment, not a monthly allowance. The money comes from the ‘Gartnernes Hjælpefond’, a Danish foundation established in 1994, which pays out approximately 40,000 DKK annually. The foundation also supports retired gardeners and their families in times of need, but this is a separate cause and has nothing to do with this allowance.
Who can apply
- Field of study: You are training in gardening or horticulture.
- Where you train: You are studying or undertaking vocational training in Denmark.
- Age: The grant is aimed at young people who are undertaking this training.
- Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
- Purpose: You use the money for travel related to your studies.
How to apply
Applications must be made using the Foundation’s application form. The deadline for applications is 1 May, and the grant will be paid on 1 June.
