About this scholarship

Becas AVENIR (studying in France)

You get a one-off grant of between 1,000 EUR and 10,000 EUR to study in France for one academic year. The exact amount depends on which partner funds you, as each company or university sets its own figure. The programme is run by the French Embassy in Spain and the Asociación Diálogo, with support from French and Spanish universities and companies. It funds studies at Bachelor (Grado), Master (Máster) and Doctorate level. You can go on your own, do a joint double degree between a Spanish and a French institution, or move through Erasmus+.

Who can apply

  • Nationality: You are a Spanish or dual Spanish-French national living in Spain.
  • Where you go: You are moving to France to study.
  • Level: You study at Bachelor, Master or Doctorate level.
  • Field of study: Any subject is fine.
  • Admission: You apply yourself to the French university or school you want, and you must show an official acceptance letter. The grant is only confirmed once you prove that admission.

How to apply

You fill in the online form on the Diálogo website and attach your CV, motivation letter, academic record, your family's tax return and your ID (DNI). The deadline is in early May. If you make the shortlist, you have an interview in person or by video call. You then need to prove your admission to a French institution by late June.

How realistic are your chances?

The pool is limited by nationality and destination: only Spanish or Spanish-French students moving to France can apply, and roughly 30 to 40 grants are awarded each year. Selection turns on your academic record and a clear study plan in France, and you must already have your place there. If you fit the profile, have a strong file and apply early, your prospects are realistic.
