Bocconi Access to Education Scholarships and Excellence Awards

You get your tuition fees waived at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. This means you pay nothing or only part of the normal fees. There are two routes. First-year international students can get a 100%, 80% or 60% waiver based on financial need. From your second year on, top students can win an Excellence Award, which covers 100% of that year's fees and refunds the first instalment you already paid. Bocconi runs both under its "Bocconi4Access to Education" scheme.

Who can apply

• University: You study at Bocconi University in Milan on a Bachelor's degree or a Law programme.
• Need-based waivers (100/80/60%): You are in your first year and a non-Italian student. Italian students have a separate route.
• Financial need: For the waivers, Bocconi checks your family's income and assets. Students with the greatest need come first, and each gets the largest waiver they qualify for until the money runs out.
• Excellence Awards: You are already enrolled at Bocconi and in your second year, third year, or (for Law) fourth year. You need a strong grade average and a minimum number of credits (CFU) earned by a set date. You do not apply; Bocconi picks winners automatically by grade ranking.
• Field of study: Any Bachelor's or Law subject at Bocconi.
• One benefit only: You can hold just one Bocconi waiver per academic year.

How to apply

For the need-based waivers, you first enrol. Then you submit the single "Bocconi4Access to Education a.y. 2027-28" application on the MyApplication portal. Deadlines depend on your admission round: 12-30 November 2026 (results by 25 February 2027), 15 March to 5 April 2027 (results by 27 May 2027), or 27 May to 4 June 2027 (results by 8 July 2027). The Excellence Awards need no application. Bocconi selects winners automatically each November.

How realistic are your chances?

The need-based waivers go to first-year international students with the greatest financial need, and the money is handed out until it runs out, so applying in an early round helps. If your family clearly cannot cover Bocconi's fees, your chances of at least a partial waiver are solid. The Excellence Awards are far tighter: only about 15 students per year, ranked strictly by grade average, so you need to be near the top of your year.
