About this scholarship

Efrei scholarship on social and merit criteria

You get a discount on next year's tuition fees worth 500 EUR to 2,600 EUR, on average about 1,600 EUR. This is not a cash payout. The school subtracts the amount from what you owe for the following year. The money comes from the Efrei Fonds de dotation, the endowment fund of Efrei, an engineering and digital-technology school in Paris (Villejuif) and Bordeaux. In 2025/2026 it shared 505,000 EUR among 331 students. A committee sets each student's amount individually at the end of the school year.

Who can apply

  • School: You study at Efrei.
  • Year of study: You are in Prépa1, Prépa2, ING1 or ING2 of the engineering programme (Programme Grande École), or in the first year of a Bachelor (B1) or BTS (BTS1) of the Programmes Experts.
  • Funding: A company does not pay for your studies. Work-study and apprenticeship (alternance) students cannot apply.
  • Financial need: Your family's finances are tight. Your housing situation counts too, for example whether you rent student accommodation.
  • Grades: You have good academic results, which count alongside the financial criteria.

How to apply

You submit an application file to the school. A committee reviews each file individually and decides the amount at the end of the school year. That amount then applies to the following year's fees.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is open only to Efrei students in specific early years whose studies a company does not fund, so the eligible group is limited from the start. With 331 grants in one year, the school funds a wide slice of those who qualify rather than a handful. If you meet the year and funding conditions and can show real financial need alongside solid grades, your prospects are good.
