About this scholarship

Bourses Sociales et Solidaires (Rennes School of Business)

You get a one-off payment of 500 EUR to 2,000 EUR towards your tuition fees at Rennes School of Business (RSB). The amount covers part or all of your fees, depending on your situation. The school funds it together with its alumni network (former students). The aim is to help students from lower-income families study there, so that money does not decide who gets in.

Who can apply

  • Programme: You are enrolled at RSB in a multi-year programme: either the Programme Grande École or the Bachelor in Management.
  • Financial need: You come from a household with low taxable income. Students who already receive French state need-based aid (CROUS) get priority, but anyone who can show modest means may apply.
  • Grades: Your school or study record and your results are strong.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
  • Not eligible: You cannot apply if you are a work-study student, on a gap year abroad, also enrolled at another school, or an incoming exchange student.

How to apply

You apply through the RSB student portal RISE, under the "Scholarships" menu. For the 2026/2027 round, the window runs from 1 to 21 October 2026. A committee then reviews your file and announces decisions after the deadline. There is no interview, so selection is based on your dossier alone.

How realistic are your chances?

Only RSB students already enrolled in one of the two programmes can apply, so the pool is small. If you fit that group, have solid results and can document a low household income, your prospects are reasonable. Students with state need-based aid (CROUS) are ranked first, so they have the edge.
