About this scholarship
What the programme gives you
This is a paid online postgraduate course, not a scholarship. You earn a university certificate (Título de Postgrado "Experto") worth 22 ECTS credits from the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid, developed with the Fundación Botín. Teaching runs from January to May 2026, 100% online in Spanish, at about 8 hours of study a week. You get more than 70 recorded videos, downloadable materials, and weekly live sessions (Tuesdays, some Thursdays, 18:00-20:00). You also get four individual mentoring sessions of about 45 minutes each. Mentoring means one-to-one guidance from a tutor. You cover emotions, relationships and creativity in the classroom, and finish by building your own plan to change how you teach. The cost is 1,690 EUR, payable in one go, in 3 monthly instalments of 585 EUR, or in 6 monthly instalments of 300 EUR.
Who can apply
- Your job: You are a teacher or education professional, for example a school counsellor or trainer, or you work with children and young people.
- Degree: You hold a university degree.
- Where you work: You work, or want to work, in formal or non-formal education.
- Language: You can follow classes in Spanish, since the whole course is taught in Spanish.
- Nationality: Open to all nationalities. Past groups have included people from Spain, Mexico and the USA.
- Age: No age limit.
How to apply
You enrol directly through the registration form on the programme website. There is no interview or competition, and places stay open until the course starts in January 2026. If you work at a private or state-funded school in Spain, the fee can be fully covered through FUNDAE (Spain's training-credit scheme) when at least three teachers from the same school sign up together. Public schools can get large discounts.
How realistic are your chances?
This is an open-enrolment paid course, not a competitive scholarship, so there is no selection to pass. If you hold a degree and work in education, you can register. The real question is the cost, so check whether FUNDAE funding or a public-school discount applies to you before you commit.
