About this scholarship

What you get

You get a one-off 3,000 GBP (about 3,500 EUR) cut in your tuition fees for the first year of a full-time taught Master's at Birmingham City University (BCU) in the UK. The money is not paid to you. It comes straight off your tuition bill as a discount. It applies once, for the 2026 intake, not across several years. You do not fill in any separate form. The discount is added automatically once you enrol on an eligible course.

Who can apply

  • Degree level: You are starting a full-time taught Master's degree at BCU.
  • How you pay: You pay international tuition fees yourself, not through a sponsor.
  • Timing: You get a place and begin your studies in the 2026 intake.
  • New to BCU: You are joining BCU for the first time. If you are moving up from a BCUIC Pre-Master's programme, you do not qualify.
  • Nationality: Open to international students of any nationality.
  • Eligible courses: Most full-time taught Master's programmes count. Some do not: Royal Birmingham Conservatoire acting and music courses, research degrees (MRes, PhD, EdD), PgDip/PgCert/GradDip, PGCE, part-time, online and distance-learning courses, short courses, partner-delivered courses and study-abroad programmes.

How to apply

There is no separate application. Just apply for an eligible Master's course at BCU. If you receive an offer, the scholarship is listed in your offer letter, and the discount lands on your tuition invoice after you enrol. You still have to pay 50% of the full tuition fee before you get your CAS, the confirmation you need for a student visa.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is not competitive. Every self-funded international student who enrols on an eligible full-time Master's in 2026 gets it automatically. If you fit the criteria above and start an eligible course, you receive it. The main thing to check is that your specific programme is not on the excluded list.
