Kościuszko Foundation - Polish National alliance of Brooklin USA Scholarships

What you get

You will receive a one-off scholarship of 2,000 USD (about 1,850 EUR) for one academic year of full-time study in the United States. The funding comes from the Kosciuszko Foundation, a charitable organisation that promotes educational ties between the United States and Poland. You may only receive this scholarship once, and it cannot be renewed.

Who can apply

• Nationality: You are a US citizen or hold a permanent residence permit for the United States.
• Heritage: You have Polish roots.
• Membership: You must have been a member of Lodge No. 1903 of the Polish National Alliance in Brooklyn for at least one year prior to applying. Membership is obtained by taking out a life insurance policy with the organisation.
• Study level: At the time of application, you must be in your first, second or third year of study. Students in their final year of a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s students are not eligible to apply.
• Enrolment: You are studying full-time at a recognised college or university in the USA.
• Grades: Your grade point average (GPA) is 3.0 or higher.
• Field of study: You can study any subject.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the Kosciuszko Foundation. The application period begins on 20 October 2026, with an extended deadline of 1 February 2027 (23:59 EST). Your two letters of recommendation must be submitted by 15 February 2027. There is a non-refundable application fee of 40 USD.
