VÚHŽ corporate scholarship for students

You get a monthly scholarship for the rest of your degree, paid by the engineering and metallurgy company VÚHŽ a.s. in Dobrá, Czech Republic. The company and your university set the exact amount together, so it is not published in advance. The money runs until you pass your state final exam, as long as you keep making academic progress. The company also offers paid internships and the chance to write your bachelor's or diploma thesis there. In return you commit to working for VÚHŽ a.s. for 3 to 5 years after graduation, in a job matching your qualification.

Who can apply

• Study phase: You are in the 3, 4 or 5 year of your degree programme.
• Field of study: You are studying an engineering or technical subject, such as mechanical engineering, metallurgy or electrical engineering.
• Commitment: You are willing to work at VÚHŽ a.s. for between 3 and 5 years after graduating.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• University: Any university is fine.

Please contact VÚHŽ a.s. directly and go through their selection process. If you are selected, you will receive the scholarship for the remainder of your studies.

How realistic are your chances?

This is an exclusive, company-funded scholarship. You must be an advanced-level student in a technical subject area and be prepared to work for VÚHŽ for several years after you graduate. Due to this commitment and the focus on engineering, the pool of applicants is small. If you meet the subject requirements and would like to start your career with the company, your prospects are good.
