Dahl Foundation scholarship for Sustainable Energy Engineering students

You get a one-off scholarship if you study in the master's programme Sustainable Energy Engineering (Hållbar energiteknik) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The foundation sets the exact sum each year and does not publish it. The money comes from the returns on the foundation's capital, so the amount depends on how much is available and how many students apply. The award comes from the Dahl Foundation, one of around 90 foundations that KTH manages for past donors.

Who can apply

• Programme: You study in the master's programme Sustainable Energy Engineering (Hållbar energiteknik) at KTH.
• Enrolment: You are a registered, active KTH student. You can only see the application page after you log in with your KTH account.
• Grades: Your average grades count. The form usually asks for your merit value from the study records system, so strong results help.

How to apply

Apply through the KTH online scholarship form. You reach it only after you log in with your KTH student account. The application usually opens in January each year, and the exact deadline is shown once you are logged in. A foundation committee reviews the applications and tells you by email whether you are selected.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is narrow: you must already be enrolled in one specific KTH master's programme, so only a small group can apply at all. If you are in the Sustainable Energy Engineering programme, have solid grades and apply early in the January window, your prospects are reasonable. You compete only against classmates in the same programme, not a wide open field.
