About this scholarship
Pia Ståhls Foundation grants
You will receive a one-off grant for a project in research or in work with children and young people. For 2026, the foundation plans to award a total of about 500,000 SEK (roughly 44,000 EUR), divided amongst several recipients. In recent years, the total amount has ranged from 461,200 SEK to 529,400 SEK, distributed across 11 to 15 projects, meaning that each grant is considerably smaller than the total amount. Payment is made once a year. The Pia Ståhls Stiftelse is based in Lund, Sweden, and was founded in 2008 by Pia Ståhl-Althin. It supports teaching and research at university level, as well as the care and education of children and young people. Smaller sums are channelled into charitable, social, artistic or sporting projects.

How to apply
You apply online via the Foundation’s web form and attach the required PDF files, including a breakdown of costs. The application window opens in May or June and closes on 30 September 2026. The Foundation’s board reviews all applications once a year and makes a decision.
