About us

We help you find money for your education.
European Funding Guide is the largest study funding portal in the EU. It lists more than 12,000 scholarships, grants, awards and loans across Europe, and 28 filters show you in a few minutes which ones match your profile. It is free, and you don't need top grades: most programmes are not just for the gifted, the engaged or those in need.
Alongside the database we publish guides on applying, student finance and ways to earn money alongside your studies.

Who we are
European Funding Guide is run by MY Access to Funding gGmbH, a non-profit company based in Berlin. Dr. Mira Maier and Alexander Gassner founded it in 2011 as PhD students, after Mira had spent months searching for funding for her own doctorate. Our first platform, myStipendium.de, is Germany's largest scholarship search. European Funding Guide followed in 2014, launched with support from the European Commission.

Dr. Mira Maier
Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief
Mira holds a PhD in mathematical economics. No page goes live without sign-off from her or a reviewer she has appointed.
Alexander Gassner
Co-founder, technology and product
Alex developed the matching behind our search and leads technology.
How we work
- Every scholarship profile is checked against the awarding body's own published information.
- Profiles are re-checked on a rolling schedule, and our guides carry a named author and a last-updated date.
- The full rules are in our editorial standards.
If something on this site is out of date or wrong, please write to feedback@european-funding-guide.eu and we will correct it.
How we are funded
European Funding Guide is free to use. We are funded by advertising and affiliate links: if you sign up with a provider through one of these links, we may receive a commission. This costs you nothing.
