About this award / prize
BSc Smith Prize
You will receive a one-off award of 432 EUR, presented by the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Birmingham. As this is an award for academic achievement, you will receive it only once and not on a monthly basis throughout your degree programme.
Who can apply
- Course: You are studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Birmingham.
- Year: You’re in your final year of university.
- Grades: The prize is awarded to the final-year BSc student with the highest average mark; it therefore comes down to the best marks.
- Nationality: Any nationality is eligible.
How realistic are your chances?
You don’t need to apply for it. The prize is automatically awarded to the best BSc student in their final year of study in physics. As only one student per year group receives the prize, your chances depend on whether you have the highest average mark in your year group.
