About this scholarship
Access Scholarship
You will receive a income-based cash award of about 100 EUR from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. This is awarded in addition to the university’s academic scholarship, which is granted for outstanding examination results. Payments may be made over the standard duration of study, up to 36 months. This is intended to reward students who both achieve good academic results and come from lower-income households.
Who can apply
- University: You are studying at Lancaster University or are just starting an undergraduate degree there.
- Merit link: You already meet the eligibility criteria for the university’s academic scholarship. The ‘Access’ scholarship will then be added automatically.
- Financial need: Your household income is below the threshold set by the university for this grant.
- Nationality: You are a student from the UK and pay the ‘Home’ fees.
- Field of study: Any subject.
How realistic are your chances?
No separate application is required. If you are already receiving the academic scholarship and your household income is below the threshold, you will receive this grant automatically. The only real hurdles, therefore, are the grades required for the merit-based scholarship and the income threshold. If you clearly meet both criteria, your chances are virtually guaranteed, as no selection panel is involved in the decision.
