About this scholarship
What the Keycom Industrial Scholarship gives you
You will receive about 1,170 EUR per year (GBP 1,000), which will be paid directly to you for the standard duration of your Bachelor’s degree programme. You may also be offered a paid summer placement at Keycom, the company funding the scholarship, allowing you to gain practical experience alongside your studies. Two scholarships are awarded per round.
Who can apply
- Where you study: You have accepted an offer for a full-time Bachelor’s degree programme at the University of Edinburgh.
- Field of study: You hold a degree from the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Computer Science or the Faculty of Mathematics.
- New students only: You are just starting your degree. If you have already completed part of your degree, you cannot apply.
- Nationality: Anyone can apply, whether you’re from the UK, the EU or another country.
- Grades: The selection process is based primarily on your academic performance, so good grades are the most important factor.
How to apply
Apply to the University of Edinburgh via UCAS and receive an offer of a place by 2 August. A selection panel will meet in early October to select the scholarship recipients, and the successful applicants will be notified later that same month.
How realistic are your chances?
Only two scholarships are awarded per round, and these are limited to four universities, so the number of scholarships is very small. The decision depends mainly on academic merit; therefore, you stand a good chance if you can demonstrate excellent grades when applying for a place on a degree programme in the fields of economics, engineering, computer science or mathematics. Ensure that your place at Edinburgh is confirmed in good time before the deadline.
