About this scholarship

MA Scholarship Award at the Arts University Bournemouth

You will receive a scholarship worth about 3,450 EUR (£3,000) for a one-year Master’s programme in Art and Design at Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) in Poole, England. The amount will be applied towards your tuition fees. It will not be paid out to you in cash. AUB is a university specialising in the creative arts. The scholarship is aimed at Master’s students who are not eligible for other state funding.

Who can apply

  • Level: You are starting a full-time Master’s programme (a one-year Master’s degree) at AUB.
  • Field of study: You are studying an art or design subject offered by AUB.
  • Where you study: You’re studying at AUB in Poole, UK.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, including students from the UK, the EU and other countries.
  • Grades or experience: A good university degree (British 2.1 or equivalent) is an advantage. Even if you do not have a university degree but do have relevant professional experience, you may still be considered.
  • Personal statement: Please provide a brief explanation of why you should receive the award.

How to apply

Please complete the university’s form for Master’s scholarships and attach your short personal statement. Send it to the admissions team for Master’s programmes. The deadline is 1 July.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is restricted to Master’s students specialising in Art and Design at a university of applied sciences, meaning there are fewer applicants competing for this funding than for open national scholarships. If you can demonstrate a compelling creative concept as well as a solid first degree or relevant professional experience, your chances are good. Places are often allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, so it is advisable to apply early.
